SOLARIA CORPORATION
Solaria Welcomes 2016 With Valuable Additions to Advisory Council and Leadership Team

January 12, 2016

Solaria Corporation, global provider of solar module technologies, announced it has expanded its leadership team and Advisory Council. Scott Hoover has been appointed Vice President of Sales, Building Solutions, North America. An accomplished industry veteran from leading companies AGC and Pilkington, as well as innovative value-added technology providers, Hoover will work with prominent building and construction partners to bring to market powered-by-Solaria building integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) solutions.

In addition, Scott Thomsen, Co-founder, Innoscovery and Emanuel Salmona, Head of Global Business Development in the Building Technologies Division at Siemens, have joined Solaria's Advisory Council. With him, Thomsen brings years as an experienced innovator and leader in international business, most recently as President at Guardian Glass, along with extensive insight in investing and advising clean technology companies. As a consultant to early stage companies in smart energy and the Internet of Things space, Salmona offers expertise in the technology, market drivers and new business opportunities for intelligent buildings that will positively contribute to the smart grid of the future.

"The building industry is in transition to integrated properties from static, isolated elements. Over the next decade, buildings will become integrated structures optimizing energy consumption, light, temperature, air quality, security, water, communications and operations," said Scott Thomsen, Co-founder, Innoscovery. "Energy generation from solar, thermoelectric and energy harvesting technologies will play a key role in powering the integrated property. Solaria's unique high efficiency solar technology supports cost effective options for building property energy generation."

Solaria built momentum in 2015 through industry achievements including selection by the Urban Land Institute as an Innovation Partner to its Greenprint Center for Building Performance. In addition, Solaria's BIPV platform was selected by the U.S. GSA Green Proving Ground Program as one of seven innovative building technologies for evaluation in federal and commercial buildings. The company closed the year by announcing a licensing deal with SunEdison to mass-produce low cost, ultra-high efficiency solar modules.

"On the heels of a successful 2015, we are thrilled to start the new year with a firm endorsement of our strategy and mission by these powerful industry leaders," said Udi Paret, General Manager, Building Solutions division, Solaria Corporation. "Through the ongoing investment of our existing team and these new members, Solaria can confidently serve its market and continue to turn building facades into solar generating and smart assets."
