Today (June 10) Resolute Marine was notified by the Department of Energy's Office of Science that it has been selected for a Phase I SBIR award for a project entitled "Nereus, Powering AUVs using Ocean Waves." This project envisions adapting a proprietary floating wave energy converter and related subsystems co- developed by Resolute and its project partners to provide power for autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) and other sensing and communication systems that collect, store and transmit data that is utilized by the scientific and defense communities.
Resolute co-founder and COO Olivier Ceberio said; "this project opens an exciting new chapter in Resolute's development wherein we apply our decades-long experience in wave energy conversion technologies and business development initiatives to develop solutions that address customer needs across a much broader range of applications."
