Modern Energy Management (MEM), a specialist in developing, building and operating investment grade renewable energy projects in emerging markets, announced that it completed its role as Owner's Engineer for the GigaSol 63MWp solar project for AC Energy (PSE: ACEN) in Philippines.
Located in the Luzon region, the GigaSol project began exporting power on 25 April 2021.
MEM's scope of work included engineering, design review, and construction quality management services. It was assisted in the project by its Filipino partner, SIDCORE Consulting, a boutique operation with extensive experience in consulting, from pre-development to implementation of renewable energy projects.
"The Gigasol project is another step toward AC Energy's goal of reaching 5000 MW of renewable energy capacity by 2025," said Anabele Natividad, Vice President of Development for AC Energy, "the project started just prior to the pandemic. While this added some complexity to the project, we had a great team; Modern Energy was instrumental to the success of this project in the design and construction phases to bring us into operations."
