NEW PUBLIC CHARGING STATION IN MONTRÉAL'S WEST ISLAND
The city of Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue joins the Electric Circuit

August 25, 2016

The city of Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue and the Electric Circuit are delighted to announce the commissioning of a new public charging station for electric vehicles. EV drivers can now charge their vehicle in the parking lot in front of City Hall located at 109 de la rue Sainte-Anne, in the heart of this commercial street.

"The shift toward transportation electrification is well underway in Québec, and we are very proud to now be able to welcome EV drivers who wish to use a public charging station. The city of Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue has always been sensitive to environmental issues, and it therefore seemed natural to us to take an active role in the expansion of Québec's public charging network. I strongly believe in the importance of implementing infrastructure that will foster the municipality's growth, and this initiative is perfectly in line with our local sustainable development plan," explained Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue Mayor Paola Hawa.

"We are pleased to count the city of Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue among the Electric Circuit's partners. This new charging station comes at the perfect time in the summer in an area where there is no shortage of activities and adds to the charging services available in Montréal's West Island," concluded France Lampron, Director - Transportation Electrification at Hydro-Québec.

With this new charging station in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, the Electric Circuit now has close to 200 charging stations on the island of Montréal.
