GreetGeo project launches new online database of geothermal stakeholders

March 4, 2026

The GreetGeo project has launched a database with details of more than 500 companies and stakeholders involved in geothermal value chains

The GreetGeo project aims to increase the capacity of regional innovation ecosystems, especially SMEs in Central Europe (Pannonian Basin) and in selected outermost regions in a synergetic manner. It focuses on the utilization of geothermal resources with a holistic approach, with niche pilots in deep geothermal and shallow geothermal

The GreetGeo database is a comprehensive, open-access resource designed to support the geothermal community with reliable, structured, and up-to-date data. The new platform brings together key information to help researchers, industry professionals, and decision-makers accelerate geothermal development across Europe and beyond.

EGEC is one of the partners of the GreetGeo project, which has received funding from the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA).
