On February 20, on the sidelines of the KyivBuild Ukraine International Building & Exhibition, Ukrhydroenergo and the Greek company GEK TERNA S.A. signed a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). This event marks the next step in implementing the 2025 Memorandum of Cooperation on hydropower projects between the companies.
During the meeting, the parties discussed Ukrhydroenergo's current needs for critical infrastructure equipment and urgent support measures, focusing on establishing working groups to review and advance projects, and on using EU funding to develop Ukrainian hydropower.
The extensive expertise of GEK TERNA S.A. one of Greece's leading business and construction groups in infrastructure, electricity generation, and the construction and operation of hydroelectric and pumped storage hydropower (PSH) plants, as well as in waste management, provides a solid foundation for joint work on Ukrainian energy facilities.
Bohdan Sukhetskyi, Acting CEO of Ukrhydroenergo, noted: "Our partnership with GEK TERNA S.A. is moving to a new level of practical implementation. Signing this agreement allows us to begin in-depth technical work on joint projects, which is vital for the stability and development of Ukrainian hydropower amid modern challenges."
