Innergex has reached an important milestone with the award of the six agrivoltaic projects from Grenier des Essences portfolio in the eighth ground-mounted solar tender (PPE2) organized by the French Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE). With a total of 85 MW secured including 53 MW in this latest round Innergex continues to strengthen its position in the French solar market.
Located in Joux-la-Ville, Yonne (89), Grenier des Essences is the very first project fully developed by Innergex in France to move into construction. Initiated in 2021, it showcases the company's ability to deliver large-scale projects that combine agrivoltaic innovation, strong energy performance, and deep local integration.
"The award of the six agrivoltaic projects from Grenier des Essences portfolio is a source of great pride for Innergex. It reflects the strength of our teams, the quality of our long-term vision, and our commitment to making France a key market for our growth," said Guillaume Jumel, Managing Director of Innergex France.
Developed in close collaboration with local officials and a collective of farmers, the project highlights Innergex's capacity to foster meaningful partnerships between agriculture and renewable energy. In addition to producing solar power, it includes an agricultural reconversion program, creating local jobs and supporting more diverse and higher-value farming.
The electricity generated will be sold under a 20-year power purchase agreement, with commissioning expected in 2027.
